NQA (National Quality Assurance Limited) was established in 1988 and is one of the world’s leading certification bodies. A wholly owned subsidiary of the NICEIC (National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting – a customer protection organization with charitable status).
Providing services to a wide range of manufacturing, commercial and service sectors, NQA assessors have in-depth knowledge and experience of all the industry sectors in which they work. The company is accredited by UKAS, RvA and RAB the respective national accreditation bodies of the UK, Netherlands and USA.
NQA is an international organisation with a head office in Dunstable, Bedfordshire, UK and offices in the USA, Malaysia, China, Singapore, Japan, India, Korean, Russia, South Africa, Turkey, Hungary, Sweden, Italy, and the Czech Republic…. in 52 countries providing certification to ISO 9001 (Quality Management including SBAC TS 157 and AS 9100, the UK & US aerospace schemes), QS-9000 and TS 16949 (automotive schemes) and TickIT (for software development), ISO 14001 and EMAS (Environmental Manageent), BS 7799 (Information Security Management), and many other Certification Schemes, including the TL 9000 and R&TTE telecommunication specification.
NQA became the first certification body world-wide to be accredited by UKAS to award certification to the latest international aerospace quality standard AS EN 9100, and is one of only 2 providers of SBAC and UKAS approved training on this standard.
NQA is currently the only UK certification body to be accredited for the provision of TL 9000 certification. In addition, NQA provides certification under the Radio Quality Assurance and Telecommunications Industry Association and the Radio Quality Council.
NQA’s Quality Policy is to “ensure that the company’s assessment services are to the client’s satisfaction; adequate and reliable for the performance of third party assessments, and impartial”. The Training and Development Division of NQA is able to offer a comprehensive range of courses covering the implementation and assessment of management systems, environment and health and safety, as well as schemes such as BS 7799 for information security.
